FAQs

Q GLYCOL-COOLED LONG DRAW DRAFT SYSTEMS

A Glycol-Cooled beer dispensing system consists of a glycol cooler (also know as a power pack), a refrigeration unit that cools a reservoir containing a blend of food grade antifreeze (propylene glycol), and water. Pumps located on the power pack circulate the glycol mixture in polyethylene tubing alongside the patented, Brewmaster Two, beer lines.

The beer and coolant lines are wrapped with a plastic moisture barrier and a foil wrap to transfer cooling. These lines are all encased in a moisture proof barrier jacket and is referred to as a trunkline.
The power pack maintains the temperature of the beer from the keg to the beer tower.
Glycol-Cooled beer dispensing systems are becoming increasingly more common with the popularity and necessity of dispensing draft beer remotely. These systems are capable of dispensing beer up to 500 feet from the kitchen or basement area of a facility to one or more tower/bar locations. We recommend a quality commercial draft beer systems customized for your business.

Q AIR COOLED BEER SYSTEMS

An Air Cooled Beer Tower maintains beer line temperature (36-38°F) from the keg to the beer Towers faucet. How? There is an open space (minimum 2-1/2" diameter) within the tower that allows cold air from the refrigerated storage to be circulated in the tower and around the beer hoses. Air cooled beer towers are commonly found on Kegerators, home and commercial bars or applications where the Towers is close to a static or forced cold air source. If you are consistently opening a cooler throughout the day, we do not recommend an air cooled draft system for your business.

Q DIRECT DRAW BEER SYSTEMS

A direct draw beer dispensing system is a self contained, thermostatically controlled refrigeration unit, in which one or more kegs of beer are stored at an optimum temperature of 38° F. This system is equipped with beer dispensing hardware and 3/16" inside diameter (I.D.) beer line that can be used exclusively between the keg coupler and faucet.

A direct draw beer system may be contained within a walk-in cooler, a commercial keg box, or within a kegerator or converted refrigerator.
